General parasitology is the branch of biology dedicated to the study of parasites, theirs hosts, and the relationship betwen them.It also studies parasites'life cycles. In this course, we are going to give different difinitions associated to general parasitology, such as,parasites, parasitisme, and other types of associations, we will also explain the different tpe of hosts.
This course is also dedicated to develop generalities about multicellular invertebrate animals adapted to parasittic life. Here we will talk about helminths. First we ill definee some terminology, and then, we will develop the classification of helminths, theirs general critiria, their different dtages of developeement, and their life cycles.
Requirements
To assist to this course, students need to have previous knowledge about
- The cells and tissues stucture.
- The structure of an eukaryotic cell.
- The anatomy and biologgy of organs in different animal species.
